Confirmed it was the battery regen current that was the issue. Apparently -6a is too high and -12a (per side) is ideal, I might go a little higher and mess with throttle curves later to get in the perfect smoothness.

Why 40% (and not 10% or 50% for example)?
Honestly, good question…I personally think it’s a safe current for the batteries to charge. It only directly affects the braking power at high speeds
