I am going to be laying fabric, can i apply poylcrylic straight to a sanded naked board, or do i need to prime the bare wood in anyway?

Polyacrylic with fabric?

ya @Briman said “Polycrylic is the one medium that I have used and it has never yellows. Waterbased spar doesn’t yellow as fast as polyurethane because most have some sort of UV blocker in them.”

Now that you say that though, im sure he didn’t know I was planning on using fabric along with glass frit.

So is that a no go for fabric?

I don’t know of anyone using it with fabric. The go to is epoxy resin.

but doesn’t it yellow?

You can get uv resistance epoxy .

I didn’t know that you were using the polycrylic with fabric. I have never tried it so I can’t confirm it wouldn’t work but I wouldn’t think it would. They do have us resistant epoxy. I would look at boat epoxy as it would be the type of epoxy that is subjected to the harsh conditions.

I need to frit my deck. Do you guys know if a “clear” frit appears white?
I want the most invisible frit application.
Do I need to go with a frit that is “tan” over this deck then?

Sick deck. I think clear frit would look pretty clear and non obstructive of the detail. I used some clear/iridescent medium frit a before and it was pretty see through apart from a slight sparkle.

Do you have any pics of the clear iridescent??

All of those are done with clear. Every deck I do is done with a fine clear

Oh nice! Practically invisible - the for sharing the pics! Is that considered medium sized frit? Or small/macro??

Would you happen to have a link to purchase the frit online? And is it a 2 part epoxy base?

I just wanna know where the he’ll u got that sick ass deck?

If you’re asking me, it’s a custom ziricote wood veneer I cut and epoxy + vacuum bagged on to a hummie deck
