[EU] European eskate races 2024

And the OPEN 2WD is basically meant to give chance to other riders that dont fight on the top of OPEN. Of course its still possible to win 2WD and main at the same time  But usually nowadays if you want to fight for podium in the OPEN you need the bindings or 4WD or both so its like a natural filter

We had another race in Pardubice this weekend, which set up things nicely for the season finals in Pitland later this year.

A really good fight in OPEN with @Dinnye stepping up the game. When reading data from previous events we can see that the fight for win was extremely quick, the fastest laps we have yet seen on this track. 3rd place times would be competitive to fight for the win in the first Pardubice race earlier this year. The arms race in OPEN obviously continues in high speed.

Originally planned to do Challenge race again but due to time constraints and people leaving we had to cancel. Hopefully next time.

We added points and rank to the race results page so its visible what the result mean in the season scope.

So the OPEN category is really still developing fast and will be interesting to see how things work out back indoors. There will be a really good fight for the championship win and multiple rider fight for 3rd place. Things are wild open and the changing surface and unknown performance of different riders.

OPEN 2WD category always brings new and new people in and we are happy to see how its working. This category is currently the most accessible for riders with regular skateboards with all levels of skill. But the current winner Tomáš Zikmund regularly scores well even among the top of whole OPEN category.

STREET category showed first time win for the current ranking leader Daniel Pék which confirmed his lead and made him very close to clinching the championship after super strong and consistent season. There is still open fight for 2nd.

The OPEN category competition in Europe is heating up pretty quickly and it was amazing to see a race where top 6 riders could all end up on the podium and one mistake could cost the podium even for the fastest riders. The winning time was quicker than in spring, yet the top 6 got together from 12s to. The top is converging. Things are looking really fun for next year

Surprisingly enough (again thanks @TZDKB for actually organizing it) we did a Challenge race on this kinda tiny Pitland track and it was awesome! Did not expect that at all. So hopefully we will include it next time officially in the schedule. And include timing as my data heart bleeds when I cannot re-read the story

I actually couldnt believe we managed to have so many riders coming in November so its kinda dream come true. It was probably the most packed OPEN lineup we ever arranged in Czech republic. You are in our thoughts @davidbonde, hope you will be able to ride with us soon.

It was a big success from the organizational side aswell. Our race system finally reached a maturity we desired and the whole race went smoothly taking 6 hours from start to finish with 60 racers on while keeping everyone engaged and providing everyone all their race data realtime to have more fun and hopefully help them improve even during the race.

We are now ready for organizing another really big event on 17th May with trust that we can make it awesome. Also we found out we have an indoor track where BRP wheels work which is even more awesome, especially for those Stooge riders potentially coming

Thought I’d add a couple of photos here from the season finale

Can’t wait to race with you guys again (though esk8con is before this) but will be definitely interesting to see how other riders tackle this track!

With Season Finals completed we have also finished our first year of official xErace European Tour. In total with EUC riders we had 164 riders who started at least one 2024 race in one of the categories. Crazy year! Many of the battles were resolved in the last race so it was a real emotional Finals race

You can also check historical winners of the xErace according to the current system. You can see its very rare anyone is able to defend the title for next year
