Esk8 safety: What helmets and gears should you use for electric skateboards?

I would like to point out if you crash and break a thousand helmet they will replace it free of charge with a story, order proof, and pictures of the damage

I’ve got a set of these I picked up on black Friday.

I ordered the wrong size tho.
Was gonna sell them if anyone is interested.
They definitely feel like they could take some serious impacts.

Also picked up these.

Nicest wrist guards I’ve ever seen.
Even has a removable slide buck and they’re easy to get over or under gloves.
And you actually still have some wrist flexibility.

Kinda want to get a Thousand for push board but my 888 doesn’t like that idea.

We kind of have a bond after I got rang my bell in it.

You should replace your helmets after a big crash btw

I agree. I checked the foam, no noticeable depressions and I more of hit my chin and jaw instead of the helmet when I went down. The side is barely scraped. For that reason I’m calling it ok to wear on my analogue boards. FF always for esk8.

Gotta mention gloves man! All I use is a helmet and gloves – one to save my life, the other to save my wrists from breaking. It’s important to have the gloves slide on the pavement, so that that doesn’t happen.

I highly recommend the Flatland e-skate gloves, the pro version even has a back plate like the ones @Skunk shared.

Ive been wanting a full face, I have the Bell Super though, but I want one with a static mask instead of a removable chin guard.

But the TSG Pass XL doesnt fit me…

I didn’t read any of this, but based on the title alone:

TSG helmets, 3D Servisas gears.

When I injured myself last year I was wearing decent gear but I had forgotten to put the slide pucks back on my left glove.
I didn’t break anything but because my gloves caught the ground it bent my arm in a weird way giving me ligament and tendon damage in my wrist and forearm.
I’ve got a lot of experience with high speed crashes from all the hobbies I’ve had. so I generally know how to fall. But sometimes you can’t predict how random body parts are going get caught on the ground.
Gloves wrist guards that have some kind of hard slide Puck like peace on them can really make a difference in a crash.
My left arm still isn’t right and I can’t even attempt to hold my daughter with it…
Wear your gear guys.

This is my arm perfectly flat. As you can see one bone isn’t quite where it’s supposed to.
It looks even worse in person. Ask @Saturn_Corp

how come no one ever talks about the predator helmet?
It’s been used by DH longboarders for years:

Because you are talking about it.

I wonder if it will fit my big head.

EDIT: thats a nope…58-61 cm. My head is 62 cm

@murdomeek Probably because TSG is cheaper than predator I’m assuming.
