That’s a buttplug mate!
I dunno, I was on outrunners. I think it was fair. Our top lap times were very close.
Edit: I only comment to encourage more riders to come out. I also had the unfair advantage of knowing there were 3 members of 70mph club close behind me.
Outrunner on every wheel gets the job done
Yeah good point. Then again you do have 4 to compete with their 2.
What are the specs of your board?
In fact what are the specs of all your boards.
Would love that on one sheet with the times for scrutiny.
I now also fully understand why those boards run with them kickplates or what you call’em.
He did look a little wobbly there for a second. Scary.
I believe they call it a foot wedge. Definitely seems like a good idea while pumping out the torque those boards are capable of! Track conditions and having to run a bit of looser set-up for the tight turns likely contributed to any appearance of instability
Some clips from the main event. If you look closely at the screen you can see Moe eat it around the 45 second mark
what happened to Tim Del at the Sunday main race?
@MoeStooge how fast were you going when you fell and are you okay?
How does your leathers fair from the fall?
Good ol’ Moe, just RUBBIN IT OUT
Congratulations @Arzamenable!! Ive had the opportunity to skate with Dr Mike and to say he rides fast is an understatement…Way to rep San Diego!
Del was running a strong 3rd and broke a rear baseplate. He never came off the board. Dude is Superman on a Raceboard.
Lap 3 or 4, between turn 3 and 180deg turn four. Making around 35mph setting up for the 180 turn, the right rear wheel came apart. I’m good, glad is wasn’t in the speed section. Leathers need some repair. My skin does not.
Mike, there is no doubt you are the top Esk8 racer In the USA with Psychotiller running gear under your feet. It’s hard to describe what you did on that board. You had to see it to believe it. The bar is again raised.
Did the people outside of Esk8 enjoy it?
This is so fucking cool! Legit closed circuit with commentators and everything. I could watch this for hours. Looks like tons of fun, but a bit too fast for my out of shape, squishy dad bod. I’d still love to try out one of those machines and see what a proper lightning powered murder race board feels like. Props to @Arzamenable for the win, @MoeStooge for constantly pushing this sport and organizing a groundbreaking event, and everyone else who competed. Very inspiring.
I use that remote too - just waiting for the day that happens to me
Took a lickin keeps on tickin.
