I’m not sure if its already been posted but if you add ?print=true to the URL is generates a print view with all items in a thread. You can then print it to PDF and we can make an archive from these.
Don’t do this all at once though, it seems to put some stress on the servers, tried it with a 2500 item thread (hummies 
)

Those PDFs become quite large because of surprisngly good image quality as you might notice
