They dont close threads like this, only sales and dev threads. Best to let it die out.
UPDATE:
I have also found out the motors use the same square fitting method on the axle as koowheel motors use.
So after a while there will be some play on them.
So only the enclosure is good haha.
be warned and stay safe!
this is not about ecomobl, sorry to derail your thread a bit
My wowgo motors also came loose because of the square axle but I have no clue how to fix it. Itās fitted the same way as koowheel hubs and looks like ecomobl hubs as well. Any suggestion? The screws that should be holding it in place are tight af. I couldnāt tighten them moreā¦ My board is unrideable now thanks to thisā¦
No problem
Thats why i prefer ownboard/hobbywing motors. they use a clamping method which doesnāt have this issue.
There is not really a way to fix it except taking the motors off and maybe put some epoxy in the square fitting.
The problem is once you have play it will only get worse by braking/accelerating.
If i find something i will let you know but strongly suggest looking into hobbywing motors for a cheap solution
Thanks for the answer! I will epoxy the axle in for now. Sadly I just spent all my money on a new huge battery and vescs and than this problem came up a few weeks laterā¦ So I canāt afford new motors for now. Probably next summer, but then I will buy something premium. I hope epoxy will work for now
Wait with the epoxy.
I am going to look at the motors with some engineers. We will see if we can find a better solution than epoxy. Maybe some soft metal plate to close the gap.
I will keep you updated.
Alright, thank you!
My think tank suggests a piece of aluminum, just cut some from a can of colla to make the fit tight again.
Good luck!
Alright, thanks! I will try it out
Can you take a picture of the mounting system you are referring to?
As far as I know HW has the same system at least in Backfire and Exway boards.
I cannot take a picture right now, maybe tomorrow. I can however demonstrate it on a drawing. The hub motor has a square axle coming out of it, and goes into the hole on the truck. the red part is plate, screwed onto the truck and touching the axle. The blue parts of the pic are the screws, which there are 4 of for each motor.
edit: I am unsure in which companies use this mounting method. This is wowgo 2S motor
i have literally never had a problem with that mounting method and had like 1500 km on the 2s and a few on the 3. you sure this is the problem?
Yes, I am sure. I have abused the shit out of it and ridden about 1300-1350 km. I even took it offroad, and my feet hates me for that lol. The axle has a millimeter play now, itās unsafe to ride. I also know a guy in the local community who has the same problem with his koowheel.
I have a koowheel with 2 mm play, i still let people ride it if they want.
LAready had it for a long time, donāt think it will kill u but stilll watch out
just get a few copper or nickel strips and press it between there, not hard to fix i think.
Oh, I thought itās dangerous that thereās play. I will only ride it after putting some thin aluminium in it nevertheless. I hope that will solve the issue.
ā¦ if you want to see a censored version. Iāll pass
ve had the M24X for some months and i can definitly say that this board is not free from faults and is hard to work on.
Update:
I put some of the hubs on a friends board for testing.
I still had three pairs of these after the whole show and wanted to sell them as I have moved to pneumies. (@xsynatic ) but not after testing
I just received it back
The shaft snapped clean off. Luckily this happened at low speeds. It seems the heat treatment failed.
I will update later with pics.
Seems the only good thing was the enclosure after all.
I put another intact pair on a raptor.
It just seemed fitting.
