Interestingly I have no basis for comparison - I never rode a skateboard before I started building these except a summer on kick-longboards, and since they were kick I could never get the full carve on because I was always worried about going too fast (I have no skill) or having to kick back up to speed.
But it’s close to a snowboard carve and that’s what I was after.
