I guess you mean the stock Hevo design? As I extensively modified it, only things that are left from the original is the Z axis.
Thought It was this
I haven’t seen that one before, but it is quite similar.
I guess the main difference is that he is using the stock less rigid mounts for motors and rear idlers, and also his X rail is unsupported. As he seems to have a 300x300 build area with a bowden extruder, it is probably fine for him. I wouldn’t trust the rail alone with a heavy direct drive at 400mm, since it can be visibly deflected when not mounted.
Super impressive for sure. Looking forward to what you’ll print with this monster!
Thanks for the rundown. Roughly how much time do you have into the build? 10s of hours or 100s?
I saw your project and it was really cool. Would a 420x 420mm heated table fit this printer?
I think my bed is about 410x410mm, but the actual working area is about 390x380 as far as I remember. But of course it can be modified for any size, I reckon it would be fine the way it is for up to 700-800mm, and afterwards it will need additional support (2x MGN carriages for each rail on y axis, larger support extrudion for x axis etc)
