i think the drops in acceleration were from the loose connector itself. the power led will go red when it happens as well as it showing .1% battery in the stormcore app. even just having it under no load would sometimes cause the battery to disconnect just from the motors shaking the board a little and id physically have to apply pressure to the connector to reconnect it. going to trying re soldering it on. but im assuming the bumps in the road was causing the disconnect. as far as the over voltage under braking im hoping that the vesc is just fooked and that its throwing the wrong current back into the battery. guess ill just have to get a new vesc and see? or get a new vesc and fry it right away

and i did and found out that that is what was causing the battery to drop all the way. good call
