I was one of the lucky finder-outerers
any plans/info on a cage for the AT drives? or a bumper guard of some kind?
@poastoast Has you covered. If you dont have access to a 3dP, he’s usually willing to print for a more than resonable fee.
i can indeed print some guards if you want!
yeah, I’ll pm you, def interested
Are there directions specific to the AT drives?
Or is there a video for someone that is on the slower side like me?
I have put the M1 drives together and have the special green loctite and grease…
and know how they go generally.
but there were finecky details about the spacers on the M1s and I wonder if there is something I like that for these…
Thanks. I have seen Ryan’s video.
I was wondering if someone had one starting from scratch…
that is what I tried to mean by the video for someone that is slow like me.
But I was just watching his video again and was reminded of the wheel bearing spacer which is important…
so thanks a bunch @ShutterShock
Ooh yeah. While I’m sure my video is very helpful I do wish that I had started from zero, but we assembled the drives at Kevins house so I didn’t have that opportunity haha
Glad you figured it out
well.
not quite there yet.
but getting closer
you video was in fact super helpful.
I’m about to head back to the bench
Haha alright let me know if you have a specific question
The spacer for the inside hub to pulley is different than the one hub to axle nut if that helps. Atleast in the kit I assembled
did you put yours on 3ds axles? you did right?
Nah I assembled on airs.
But I did have 3ds gears on the airs as well.
It’s pretty straight forward. The alignment for the drives to be the same angle was more a pain in the ass for me
I can actually disassemble mine later maybe. I need to flip my board back to goofy
the Kaly had 3ds gears?
I did the inner spacer trick on the Airs like you suggested, it worked well for me to avoid the ugly extra axle length on the outside part. It made me sad as an engineer to decrease the contact surface but I think it still has more than enough (15 to 20mm at least)
