I used birchwood casey bluing on my motorcycle axles, was impressed with the resilience.
Unbendable too?
Iβll try my best to bend 'em
You better be getting on a donut-only diet!
Yeah, let there be rust.
No problem so far imo.
Sliding in : whatβs the advantage of steel hangers ? Aluminum is more than enough for our need, even for the bolder ones, and they wont bend or snap if you take well known trucks
The wider they get, the less that becomes the case. Weβve seen 240mm tkp trucks bend like string cheese. 270 is real wide.
Nope. They all bend. Itβs only a matter of how much.
i would say that depends on the actual design. a simple square beam is a simple structure. Plenty of things made of aluminum go through much much worse
Not really I got these because I had sea shipping opportunity and they were run in a batch of aluminum hangers. Just producing 5-10 as a separate order and expressing them to the US would be extremely expensive
I got these in. Holy moly, the package of 4 hangers weighed as much as a whole eskate it seemed like
In all seriousness though, these parts will probably still be in service long after every other skate part I have in my possession has failed. They are so nice and strong, itβs crazy
I want to see the curb after you grind on it.
How much did it cost?
$80NZD or about $57freedom bucks.
Itβs a ceramic exhaust coating.
Looks awesome dude! From a metal coatings specialist or an exhaust shop?
How did you find the place? Just search for a custom exhaust shop?

A powder coating shop. They also had a black underbody coating but said this was harder. Apparently you can hit it with a hammer to no effect. Not sure on scratches but meh, I think itβs pretty durable. Will see.
I was pretty keen on gun bluing or blackened steel type finish but found this quick and super close to home for a reasonable price.
Quite a bit of work for them, blast the part, polish and then coating application. I think itβs similar to a powder coat process.
Was interested in getting the BN drive cases done but 4wd is 8 parts and fiddly, with polishing etc. didnβt show them those parts but he estimated a couple hundred NZ$ To do them. Gonna flag. Pockets not that deep. Theyβre aluminium so donβt need a coating like these did.
Gonna be a sick drivetrain, look forward to seeing it on a board.
