Didn’t realize motors were fully waterproof
Yeah with fresh water, there isnt really much to worry about. Only the bearings and the hall sensor pcb (only an issue on bad motors if they arent conformal coated). Motor bearings wear out, and they wear out faster if you get them wet. These are already on their way out, so it’s not important to me
Are you running it shfi? Bc you don’t have hall sensors…?
im running shfi because I didnt wanna add more holes for the hall sensors, and I really didnt feel like making a gazillion hall sensor extensions. I’ve been thinking about going back and doing it, but shfi is sufficient thus far. If it creates problems while towing, I can add sensor extensions to the rear motors or something
Oh nice. I want to do something similar to your build, as well as @rafaelinmissouri, where you just mount the esc in the battery box and run extensions from the motors.
What are you going to tow?
I mocked up a trailer in fusion360, 3ft long, 2ft wide, but i think it’s a little small. I already bought all of the material for it, so I just have to get my hands on a welder and put it together.
Can’t you just use loctite…?
But…
What are you towing???
my garden plot is about a mile away. Soil, tools, etc. maybe a person every now and then
for what
i am running low, it’s too tasty
