big honka - a really capable mountainboard

I think my hot glue expired. Smelled like farts the entire time. I did confirm it wasn’t me

Have you tried switching your glue sticks to a dairy-free diet?

Took the board out to go play in the snow

Board was comfortably able to go through 5cm thick powder without slowing down much, and was FAR more controllable than any 2wd mountainboard I rode. Also, there are no geardrive casings to drag, which helped it glide much better. If anything, im sure the chains digging into the snow actually helped the board put power down. I was able to comfortably accelerate on powder-covered hills (my driveway) and also stop. For being a piece of shit, it works quite well. Here’s what changed from the original parts list

Battery: 12s8p 50S
ESCs: Makerx DV4s x2

I thought HFI would be a significant hinderance in the snow, but it didn’t really hamper the experience. I was able to start and stop seamlessly. The last thing that the board needs is the towing setup and the trailer, but I dont forsee either of those two things happening soon.

Video never does it justice. I really hope that car sat there long enough to see you fly up the hill that he couldn’t make.

Just out of curiosity, why not throw some bindings on? Seems like they would be a lot of help not slipping off the board.

No issues with staying on the board. Vicious grip and my snow boots work wonders

Gotcha, not much experience with snow where I live. We got to ride in some during a freak winter a couple years ago and it was fun as hell but almost uncontrollable with 2wd. 4wd would have probably been better than bindings for that ride.

Edot- quick video of that ride. It was a sunny day at the beach about 3 miles to the south. Super unexpected.

4wd makes a world of difference. Night and day. I tried 2wd last year. unusable

It’s probably better in the mud too, I’ll have to build a 4wd one of these days. Sick build!

I have nipples Benjamin. Can you milk me?

For the right price, anything is possible.

You’re free to leave, Evan and I need to have some adult time. You’ll understand when you’re older.
