I ride it in this winter too but I didn’t know if water get in, anyway i disposed it.
If you need to run a pack like this in the damp and wet weather, get some heat shrink and neural cure silicone for the replacement to make it more likely to survive a little moisture.
Get clear silicone and shrink so it’s easy to see if the waterproofing fails easily. Rewrap the pack and spend some effort to seal up the openings with the silicone, i like to add silicone then tape over it so it doesn’t get everywhere. Then after it cures and you install it, hit the spots where the wires come out again incase any flexing or shuffling has opened any gaps.
Then when you get soaked, open up the board and get it dry - nothing will waterproof it well enough to sit submerged for a long time and if you get a small ingress of water you can fix it quickly before it becomes a problem.
sry for your loss.
look forward to your next fix/build. ![]()

You should assess the damage with a multimeter

(Don’t)
There’s no reason to assess as the voltages are known and you can see the damage as well. U KNOW it’s damaged. The instance you keep harping on the state of the battery was unknown. Using a multimeter is never a dangerous thing to do no matter how dumb u are
We like to poke the bear here.
poke it with a muiltimeter
