Battery Balance Queation

What do you propose for testing methods? All I do is probe a few points with the DMM and make sure the right numbers pop up then charge it to full.

Should I plug in a lightbulb or something?

I have, I forget what setting I changed, but at some point it stopped balancing despite the settings saying that it should. Turning relevant settings off and on a bunch made it start balancing again.

You just have to have it turn on, communicate that to the BMS from the app without any lost packets and restart the app.

I definitely did that, at least 20 times.
The android v2 app is more reliable, but the v1 allows you to change settings, so I was using v1.
Half the time the app won’t connect, and I had to restart it, the other half the time the settings fail to set.
The successful case occurs such an infinitesimally small percentage of the time that my math works out

While searching I found at least 5 versions of the app, I’m using one I found on a forum that I had to install from APK but it’s labeled as the OEM version. It has all settings available and even lets you change the output current in case you’re using the BMS for discharge. I’m not sure about the hardware but I can tell my “20A BMS” to output 100A or whatever else I input. This OEM app also seems to be a bit more reliable with applying settings.

Idk where I found it, if I lose the app I’ll have to find it all over again.

I have both versions 2.1.1024 and 3.1.1026. you can get them both from the Apex Boards website. Click on the BMS and there are links to a Google drive.

Honestly I never use the app anyway. Once it’s connected to metr and the settings are set I just use metr for telemetry.

Also use batman to let my home assistant monitor my cells when I’m not home and to make history graphs
