I don’t have experience with every VESC on the market really I’ve only bought them from TB and been happy enough with the quality and knowing the limits, from what I’ve heard from other trusted members here the VESC6 from trampa is a solid ESC if price is no issue. Also depends on your opinion on the two in one vs separate though, if going 2 in one would think Unity is still the way to go.
why the unity over 2 discrete devices in your opinion ? or is it because the single options on the page are not what you would prefer ?

I have had zero issues w my vesc6 since day one. Solid performer.
Now now Kellen boy, there have good products, just mediocre customer service.

Heya, what do you mean by “the card”? Do you mean that thick green paper that people use for isolation? That would be fish-paper. (Vulcanised fibre) Most people opt to get the options that come with an adhesive back as theyre easier to use.

This. I still like FocBox’s better than anything. I have broken a few, but the ratio is much less than everything else I’ve run multiples of.
I am not a huge fan of integrated controllers. I have had nothing bad happen with a Unity, but I have multiple Chinese dual ESC’s sitting in a drawer with one side bad, useless.

Silly question guys: why the race to 100v architecture for ESC’s and not simply beefier ESC’s that are capable of more amps?
I know higher voltage requires less amps for the same power output, but the way I see it, we use cells within are about 3.2-3.4 nominal. It takes more cells in series to achieve these higher voltages, which in our limited space, means that we have less room for parrallel groups, which often means decreased range.
Hence my question, why not aspire for higher amps (aside from heat I suppose) and instead aim for higher voltages?
