Reduced to a crisp @celica40
What channel truck where you running on that board?
my 18s set up is on my mbs board not the acedeck , is also for sale right now
mattrix 2
Ah wild man I also went 45mph on matrix IIIs
And realized how insane that was, have since not gone that fast even on my raceboard.
but matrix 3 are wider from 1/2 inch so it even more stable , all i can say my set up is screaming so loud i have use earplug !! at 18s with 6384 190kv with BN geardrive 4.6
I run yellows up front and orange in the rear with a little bit of preload on both.
even my mbs board was red/red at 45mph i didn’t want any wobble
Be careful, too tight and I’ve found the front will wobble too much. It gives it a twitchy feeling and no chance for my body and legs to respond.
Try keeping your board always on an edge, carving back and forth. Trying to stay on a straight line all the time disengages you and ends up being more like a tight rope
Hope ya heal up alright bud, you’ll want to be extra careful not to have any head landings for the next year too. Jump like fuck and Superman it if you have to if you’re not in bindings.
Similar thing happened to me when I got my Lonestar, had never ridden or seen a channel truck board before I got it and ended up unconscious in the ambo.
I decided to use softer bushings, which helped to get the feel of the board better. After a couple years of owning it I can now say that the wobble I got was sloppy loose rear kingpin bushes in the truck, but early on I didn’t know what I didn’t know to know it. It was also my first board with pneumatic’s, a wheel choice I still haven’t grown to love.
Anyway, hope you’re doing alright. I’m still off work myself for a couple months with k wires sticking out of my hand. No more 80mm wheels whist out drinking for me for the rest of the year. First broken bone I’ve had, wonder if it’s part of having turned 40.
have been riding with bindings since 2017
here the roads are not made for 80mm wheel so i always been on 8’'pneumatics,
the nova tires are very comfy but they have problem with balancing and i hope they resolve the issue in the future
the acedeck suspension trucks are not so great for agressive curving , but still ok for all around day use , where i live the roads are ruff and with lot of pothole so suspension for me it add more safety
