New enclosure modeled, printed, and installed.
Proper sea trials tomorrow
That is a teensy weensy standing platform huh!!!
Have you considered running bolts all the way through each corner of the enclosure to hold all the layers together?
Yup. @fessyfoo can vouch for me, I said it at track yesterday😁
Opted to try this solution first because it was simpler, should solve the root cause that caused the layers to start cracking, and doesn’t involve trying to source (and pay for) 100mm-something long M5 bolts😂
Fair points, play on!
M5 threaded rod?
Cant wait to give this a rip at track.
Tucker at this rate you will have like 6 boards by end of 2025. I gotta catch up! Lmao.
Messing with stances, this was what feels the best. The front foot like that allows for heel side leverage while avoiding wheelbite.
Such a cursed stance for such a cursed board😍
This this is wayyy better than I had any right to be. Buying a set of SR125’s was such the right call🏁
I’ve got a week to practice. Eyeing that Toronto podium👀
How fast can you go without it getting sketchy?
About 7mph
DKP problems
20~25 mph?
Idk, I didn’t really push my luck haha
This board is an absolute blast.
The radium 125s are fucking awesome. They roll like urethane but have truckloads of grip.
I propose that you name your next build “tempting fate”
Learning how to ride switch. Everything about it feels wrong, but I’m getting somewhere
Hardest part for me was practicing getting into stance naturally, in switch.
Once my feet were in the right place it felt loads better.
Packing up for Toronto, Louie really wanted to come. Too bad buddy, I didn’t have space! Tynee Curse, tools, and my gear took up literally every cubic inch of the suitcase.
Battery made it through security at LAX without any issue. They didn’t even open up my bag.
Felt odd carrying a slab of wood through the airport
But we do what must be done
Landed in Canada
I opted to show up to the event early with my whole suitcase and just assemble the board at the event. Honestly was way easier then assembling the night before and carrying the board through the snow!
Literally zero issues with reassembly. 45 minutes later, and she’s ready to go
Short video from open track, courtesy of Dan Flanagan’s camera. The surface was like an ice rink- a fun challenge! Fell more times then I could count. Fit the vibe of the meme races very well.
I built this board to do one thing.
Mission. Accomplished.
At the end of the day, 12 hours after being assembled, it’s disassembled and packed back into the suitcase for the return flight. HUZZAH
Twas a great time, lots of awesome people up there. Looking forward to next year!
