40" Drop Deck TB40

I would reach out to Dexter, I bought one from him and the website said out of stock the entire time.

All 3 of these methods worked, didn’t have to clean epoxy out of the inserts.

Cool build! Any problems with wheel bite?

Haven’t been able to test :joy: BUT I did order 270mm hangars from boardnamics to swap so it’ll be good.

it’s a bit of work but I found that a hand plane and a razer blade for the corners works well.

Dude let me know how she rides :call_me_hand: I like but is there any wheel bite ?

can’t ride until my battery from Bara comes in :sob:

But I do have boardnamics 270 hangars if wheel bite is an issue!

really just like 2mm each side but you have to get more than halfway down with the cut. The hand plane worked perfect because the blade was at the right height when the the tool rested in the cutout.

Perfect, looks like with those mods the deck is gonna be super sick with a 12s4p

Yeah its pretty much perfect for a 21700 12S4P

Not to put fear into you, but my best guess is that messing with the corners was what made my hummie deck crack, keep a close eye on it

You and your hummie mod is exactly what I was thinking about the whole time I was taking a knife to my TB40.

I honestly took so little material out if that made a significant structural difference there would be a flaw otherwise.

The thing is that sharp corners are a big stress concentration factor that can start a crack, hopefully that does not happen

My cracked deck is still alive, every time it cracks I put a bit more superglue in it

perhaps a little cf/fg reinforcement is a good idea for the corner

I’m just gonna throw a glob of epoxy/jb weld into the corner to be safe

do i have to use epoxy for the inserts? my insert seem to be a tight fit in the pre drilled holes already.
