[WTS][US] 60Kv TBDD (Continental US)

Hey Everyone!

Looking to sell my new-ish 60Kv Torqueboards Direct Drives. I put less than 10 miles on them before realizing that they just didn’t have the urethane burning low-end torque that I was looking for.

Aside from not being what I had personally hoped for, the motors themselves run flawlessly.

Due to low mileage, they’re aesthetically in great condition as well, only a few small dings.

All truck axles were removed and reinstalled w/ blue thread-locker.

Swapped the standard 5.5mm bullet connectors to 4.0mm bullet connectors.

Looking to get $400 shipped for them.

Pretty firm on the price considering their condition and included shipping. But, open to offers via PM.

If choosing to use PayPal, buyer covers the PayPal fees.

Thanks!

I personally added those bullet connectors.

Can’t remember who cut the originals off but if it was me I was forced to!!

Was there not enough torque even at 60kv?

The mid - high end torque was great, but I’m a bit of a torque freak over a speed freak, so I quickly realized I was personally looking for more low-end torque off the line.

They worked great otherwise! Super smooth and great free roll.

what #s did you set on VESC tools and what battery setup?

They have plenty of power, even in the low end.

12S4P Molicel P42A.
100a battery amps and 50a to each motor. Also tried 120a as well, which had a small bump but didn’t have the torque from a stop that I wanted.

Have you tried at 160, that’s what they’re rated for. No doubts they’ll get pretty warm at that though

what about motor current? that’s what helps with the lowend.

Don’t want to push the pack that hard, don’t really want to go over 25a per cell.

I ordered a set of Boardnamics Gear Drives w/ the Flipsky BH 6384’s and Adjustable Baseplates anywhos.

bump the motor amp to 80, and u will feel more torque

I tried that, still didn’t have quite the torque I was looking for. I’m mostly looking at low end torque from a dead stop, mind you.

Yes, motor amp is very much low end torque related

what do you weigh
