If you have a lathe with a thread cutter, or an angle grinder and a die you can make an axle from a shoulder bolt…but if they are case hardened you are boned

Get some 10mm threaded rod and fkn send it. If you’re lucky, you can find some in double sided threaded ends that might actually work.

jesus crazy method but might be mad enough…

I just machined some axels for my custom trucks. I used 17-4 ph stainless steel, Preheated and have material certifications. I’d be willing to make some more If interested

Why do shoulder bolts not work? They are the same as I’ve understood it?

I prefer an axel with a shoulder that tightens perfectly to the hanger

I’d download some pics, but can’t get it to work

I would like 2 sets at least!

Overall they work the same but with the shoulder bolt you have the take the hole bolt off and take off the thread lock. With the axels you can put stronger thread lock on the inside thread and the just use a nylon nut on the outer threads. Plus most of the axels made use 8mm bearing and not the 10 mm that are required by surfrodz
