Shit, it might be… it doesn’t have the roman numeral 2 like this one.
I can make it work…
how much for them?
Uhhhmmmmm well they’re $180 for a pair now, and these are brand new so let’s say $150 + $15-20 for shipping?
I’ll pass then, I am not after brand new😅. Thanks man
looking for latching switch for a d596 bms
i got one but i dont trust it and i cant be bothered making a loopkey
All latching switches are bad, m’kay?
i have heard however d596 only takes latching and i cannot be bother soldering a loopkey today
also run a latching for well over 1000km but never had any issues
The failure rate of a latching switch is far greater than momentary switch because of how they work, but that doesn’t mean u can’t have a working switch down the line. Its just more likely to fail over time.
yeah ik
prob will switch to a loopkey but just really cant be asked to solder one today
I always treat loopkey as failsafe, a switch is still more convenient, but still not as convenient as standby mode
yeah def
on my other build i use momentary switches which still arent as good as loopkeys but ok
just my fingers are brunt off atm cause of all the soldering ive done and i still have to do a bunch more bullet connectors
Fingers shouldn’t be burned off when soldering
not literal but i am still in the process of soldering some copper wire to bullets and have never doen anything so painful in my life
any tips?
use pliers or a wrench to hold them down.
I use a pipe wrench with a rubber band on the handle for constant pressure. I do the same for xt60,90, mr60,30 etc
yeah soldering bullets is fine
issue is that soldering to copper wire is so painful
its litterally impossible
Do the same, get small pliers and hold the wire. It’s a bit tricky sometimes but doesn’t burn you
@Halbj613 you’re a sucker for pain. Be a man. Take the soldering iron and place it on your palm at fourhundo.
You’ll be forever immunised
Warning: only real men can do this
i have soldered so much and im going and making like 87 canbus cables now
gimme a break
