Following many months (maybe a year!?) of procrastination, making moves to finalise the last few bits and pieces…
This little spot is the diesel heater vent and where i want my fire extinguisher to live. My solution to cover all of this is easy enough, i just love procrastinating.
Done. Now on to the overhead cabinet to my sink/bench area which will house pantry/cooking stuff…

Pretty happy with today’s efforts. I’ve had all my pantry shit in a couple of storage boxes at the back of the van, this will be a huge QOL addition.
Gotta let the glue dry, will attack finishing, sanding and painting throughout the week, install next weekend 
Once this is in properly there’s just a few bits and pieces of felt to finish, then i’m ready to insure it. Getting all the documentation together for insurance is gonna be a pretty beastly job on its own tho…
There’s heaps more bits and pieces i want to do in there, but they can be added over time, just need to get this puppy over the insurance line before I leave for Nationals… i’ll be cutting it very fine I reckon!

All corners rounded, fully sanded and first coat of paint on… i don’t know why i procrastinated on this for so long… it’s only taken like 3hrs to get to this point

Progressing better than expected, pantry cabinet installed! Stocking it properly might take some time, i think I may need to get a few little open storage containers to fit inside and hold things together… a problem for days to come.

Pantry and kitchen box loaded up! Its not the neatest solution but it’s definitely space efficient and fits everything I need while being FAR more accessible than the stupid storage boxes that have now been kicked out back to the shed.
Next mini project is finalising the location of my fan controllers and installing my TV! The fan controllers have been doing my head in just flapping around dangling from their wires
They are currently located right where I want to install the TV, so it is time! Gotta ride this productivity streak while it lasts!

These are the best ones i’ve found lately, nothing overly special but good heat and good taste, made in the UK

Van got a good clean out today, added blankets to my ‘couch’ and made some curtains for under the sink, starting to feel a lot more homely.

Made a start on ‘bed widening’ this arvo. When kiddo sleeps over we’ve been rolling the mattress out on the floor but it’s kinda inconvenient. This platform will just hinge off my bed and across to the other side of the van and we’ll roll out an air mattress on top.
Also gotta make a curtain to seperate my bed from hers so she can have some privacy.
Finally got the ball rolling on insurance documentation yesterday, will continue this evening… only 8 days left til the road trip… cutting it fine
