(US) WTB BN-M1 street str8 cut motor pinions

Hey! As title says. I need the 2.78 ratio (23t?)

All I have on hand is the gofast ratio… 36mph on an Omakase with cags would be a thrill, but that’s overkill for me nowadays. I’m open to trading if anyone wants to go fast…

@Linny – granted, you were looking for helicals tho

The pinions you have, are they helical or straight cut?

@AdityaAurora found some off-the-shelf pinions that work with M1-AT. Maybe they’d be cross compatible or at least give you a lead to find something that would work?

@AdityaAurora might you have a link to those M1-AT compatible straight pinons?

M1AT gears uses a different mod, its a bit bigger so it wouldnt work with the M1

M1 AT is mod 1, while M1 street drive is mod 0.8 if anyone wants the numbers

Strange, my m1 street drives have been working totally fine with the mod1 pinions, i even put the priginal bn ones against the ebay ones and tooth size wise they looked exsctly the same, could it have maybe been only the helical variety that were mod.8?

Hmm maybe. I’m pretty sure they were mod 0.8 at some point in time though

yeah they seem to have been .8 previously, there’s multiple mentions of it in the m1 drive thread. If I had to guess maybe the helicals are .8 and the straight cuts are 1, that could also explain why some had strength complaints about the helical gears but had great performance on the straight cut variants.
