I always feel like one of his elves around the holidays. ![]()
you are dude, hopefully you are showered in green
How’s the ride feels like between W and U concave? Wouldn’t W concave give more rigidity while U concave give more “pop”?
If the deck is flexy, you are right. The w would be stiffer. I have to admit that I mostly make stiff decks for people that want to go fast. On a stiff deck you really wouldn’t feel the difference.
You got your eye on one for your BOTY prize?
Either the Shogun or Honey badger. I want to do a thane build with Matrix 3.
What’s the standing platform length for the Shogun and Honey badger?
Any chance Duality deck?
It will be available by the holidays. Maybe a little sooner.
The standing platform for the Honey-badger is 27” and the Shogun is 30”.
The duality deck is basically finished. I just need to make a model so that I can take pics for my website. If you really want one, I’ll make you one. It’s really similar to the shogun, but it has a different lay-up. It’s got a maple core and a thicker fiberglass baselayer. It also has a chamfered bottom edge on the sides to give better clearance at full lean. I can also do a kingpin slot if you have the older version of dualities.
Welcome back!
I cannot wait to see this. Been looking for a suitable deck for my Kart build! Is the intent for bottom or top mount enclosure?
Top-mount for the Duality deck. For the Tomiboi decks you can do either.
Would be cool if you could post a STL export from the deck CAD for the foot-bed slice, to help decide on U vs. W concave
You just want a deck .stl? I can do that. Which deck specifically?
Here are some enclosures stuffed with fake cells to give you an idea of what they can fit. The top pic is the Liquid-Sword/Honey-badger enclosure. The bottom pic is the enclosure for the Odachi/Shogun. These are single-stacks. Double-stacks are available.
The Duality one, if it has both concave options ![]()
Here are the mold blanks for the Duality deck and Shogun. My w-concavity is pretty mellow.
w.stl (457.3 KB)
u.stl (408.8 KB)
That’s not what she said
I’ll see myself out.
I really really really enjoy riding the Rad Lac with MIIIs and Radium 125s…
