Cop a load of this…
I was WRONG when i posted that
I’m sorry yours wasn’t as big as mine, thats just the way the soggy biscuit crumbles mate.
And again about the flowstates… damn. Twice in one thread.
What about the glue in your decks too?
What about it?
I used titebond 3, pretty much the standard for all longboard construction.
@zero_ads is the only deck to have delaminated and as was clearly stated when I sold that particular batch of decks, it was a beta product. I’d never made a deck besides a couple of alphas before that particular batch, so i wanted to get some out in the wild to see if they stood up to abuse.
It’s more than likely that the defect in Jimmy’s board was somewhat of a skill issue on my part. None of the others from that or the subsequent batch have failed in that manner, so it’s very hard to determine the cause of that particular failure.
As i’ve mentioned to Jimmy, I no longer have the means to honour any sort of warranty for that deck, but I’m happy to cover shipping costs for him should he choose to order a deck through Flowstate.
This discussion isn’t conducive to this thread and it would seem that any interaction with you isn’t conducive to any sort of meaningful discussion, just some weird boner you have for me.
So with that, i wish you a good day mate. No longer engaging.
But is it the only one? Cough defiant troll.
Tldr… something bout not engaging I agree. I I wish I was getting paid to argue about skateboards but I’m not
Geez they are a good looking deck combo
You heard the man send your race boards to me to test
Let’s bring this back to positive vibes! Here’s another one I’m now working on.
Also - delam can always get repaired it’s no biggie.
We’re pushing these wooden decks to their limits so it’s all trial and error and learning along the way all for the fun of it!
Yeah I’m just arsing my way through the enclosures making a fibreglass lasagna. probably making them thicker than necessary but it’s all new to me.
Nah they’re spot on mate. Solid and consistent the whole way through
Nothing wrong with hand layups and my comment wasn’t a dig. Just a note that the construction methods used are different and possibly why the enclosures seem to differ in depth from maker to maker.
I would strongly encourage you to learn the infusion method tho… just for the satisfaction of watching it happen if nothing else
Life’s been pretty hectic the last couple months so haven’t had much time to work on boards.
Getting back in to it now completing 3 SamenBone orders. Here’s tonight’s progress.
This took me way too long to make - sometimes life takes over but can’t wait to see how the new owner of this one builds it out! He asked to keep the top raw as he has a plan on how to finish. Also keep the wheelbase at full length.
That enclosure looks flawless mate. Hope all is well, it’s great to see you back at it
Been pretty slack on the socials lately but here’s another SemenBone order completed this week.
Got the whole process dialed in these days so it’s pretty enjoyable with minimal fuckups.
Would be happy to punch out another couple this year if anyone wants one.
Man I am SO glad I passed this on to you. It tickles me so much that I’ve been able to leave somewhat of a legacy behind, and that your fine self is able to perpetuate that.
Many thanks bro
Hard to tell from the pic - is the enclosure SS or DS?
