How good is cad and 3dp!??
How does the spacer stay in place though? Will there be some kind of metal plate running underneath the extension bracket between the two foot hook mounting holes?

Oh ya, didn’t show that. There is a plate that runs between the bolts clamping to the bracket - the print is trapped between the hook and the bracket and the plate. The print isn’t structural at all but locking down the hook locks the hook and therefore the print and charge port to the bracket. The print also acts as an alignment guide to get the hook into the spot i like and keep it from shifting until it’s fully bolted.
Couldn’t not finish the front end. Soldered up the xt60 and got the buck and basic leds and bluetooth controller installed neatly. Reworked the rear esc and bms wiring to sit fully flat and flush to close the enclosure without stress or pinching anything.
Im going to make a power button version of the print that ill bolt in via the 6mm holes in the bracket offset and hold the power button in a similar orientation on the rear truck. And then ill clean up the phase wires again. Also need to incorporate the usb - i have a usb connection to the esc and a second usb charging output to come out.
Then ill rework the tail piece to get it to through bolt the motor mounts, offer a little skid pro on the motors, make it stand up by itself on its tail, and a handle that will also take my phone mount so i can get some feet pics ![]()
Now working on the heel wedge rear spacer. I keep thinking i should just add a little wing to this section when i do the cf wrap andni think that would be the strongest, but it seems a little bit risky. I’ve got some cf twill and roving to make it and attach it well to the deck but it quickly becomes un adjustable.
Very very rough approximation of where id want to put it. Heel support as i shift stance and wedging up under my heal to brace and lock into a tuck is what im trying to accomplish. The top would smoothly arc up to the highest point at center over the riser. The whole wedge would be in two parts - one part added to the deck and the second part as the spacer which will also enclose the power button (facing back) and the two usb ports (facing board left) as well as help route the motor cable under and into the enclosure.
I think ill start by adding it all to the spacer and see how it feels and if it seems to be a viable alternative. That way i can try it and see. If i leave it but need more support for it than i can get with the print ill think about finding some happy medium between it being all print or partial cf deck modification. Either way im going to add a little something as just the wedge on the spacer already feels better than my heel floating in free space

Doors and corners
Feels solid af, like the deck being so soft in contrast is kinda crazy. Not even bolted down it feels good. Think i got the height of the wedge correct nut I’ll iterate a little to get the sweep just right so it matches up a little better and i think round off the hard corners so there’s nothing to snag on the leading edges. Then just a little upturned curve to the trailing edges for feeling my foot position
Almost got the angle
With the new wedge, it looks more like the Mach One.
Temu mach 1🤣. The mach .75. I should slap a bmw logo on it and see if i get a cease and desist
Step Mach?
Where are you going to put those wedges?!? Not in my charge port !
Dad will never know, its ok
Mock1
Faux-ormula 1 inspired mock 1, shipped $3.50
Mock One comes unequipped with RTS (Patent Pending), and Many Bushings.
Take my money! ![]()
As if you can afford $3.50
I’ll rob a piggy bank
That’s not a very nice way to talk about @glyphiks
Cf showed up folded and then rolled so i think i found one spot flat enough without too many weave imperfections to do the top. Did the bottom and the folds and misaligned fibers really mess with the glitter effect of this fabric. Left a shit review but at least it should be salvageable
Photo dump:
Look at the tiny box it came in ¯\_( ಠ_ಠ)_/¯ was $60 shipping and I would have paid more to get it rolled.
This process looks like so much work to me…
