i would like to try a 4wd build with your mini vescs would you recommed 2 dual controllers or 4 single controllers, i plan to test this with my 10s14 battery and 4 190kv motors. as far as seetings im thinking

I pulled the trigger on the plus, did you end up adding extra caps to the boards?

I would always choose the single versions of any ESC.

Any specific reason for this? Is it more reliable?

Yes. If something fails, it doesn’t bring down the other side (assuming you’re using dual receivers). Also, you have half as much to replace. You can’t saw a dual in half and pay to replace only one side.

Just add one electrolytic on the main power leads.
I added som phat solder to the power paths on the PCB as well, they looked tiny.

But does that mean 50a motor max or 50a battery max? (Per vesc)

i dont see a uart port on the DUAL esc, are there plans to add one?

There Are uart ports on the dual it’s located next to the hall sensor port.

i see, that pin out looks different, usually rx and tx next to one another

Yes it is a very different pinot and the voltage is only 3.3v not 5v

Do you think my vx1 will work with it? If I change the pin out on my vx1 plug?

It’s supposed to use 5v but I’ve bench tested it with the vx1 and its working fine.
