Boooo. Being overly stereotypical:

  • Esk8rs are almost always chill.
  • A lot of OW folks are cool.
  • EUC and Surron riders are mostly Dbags.
  • Scooter people can go either way.

I find this is usually split along the ninebot/cheapo riders (chill ones) and high-end scooter riders (all wanna be POS influencers)

Oh man, youā€™re living my dream right now!

Do the skis free spin or is there something centering them?

How did it go?

@Ricco youā€™ve got to share what thatā€™s like to ride

@Venom121212, haha ya Ive been wanting to try this setup for 2 years now but never got enough snow/time to do it till now. The skis just free spin on the axel. They are the these skis from easypeople.ca. Theyre made for 8mm axels so I had to drill them out and 3D print an adapter bushing.

The first ride felt great, but I only ended up going about 200ft since the snow chains got caught up on the screw heads of my gear drive. I got button head screws today to solve that issue so hopefully tomorrow Iā€™ll get a good ride in.

@tuckjohn, Iā€™ll definitely post a video of it in action when I get the chains running reliably. My first impression of the feel is its like running a mix of urathane up front and clunky mud slingers in the back. The turning is also a whole lot better than I expected.

Iā€™ve seen these skis before, always daydreamed of doing this, but a couple years ago I moved to a place that barely gets any snow.

@Skyart
Is this my problem child?

Just press the ā€œchainā€ icon next to the heart to copy the link. Then open a reply in the reply thread and plop the link in.

So pretty much exactly what you did.

That doesnā€™t quote the image though, itā€™s just a link to the post.

Functionally it gets the job done but personally I prefer the aesthetics of quoting the image.
