Open gear all terrain? This sounds like it’ll be interesting

If the teeth are hard enough and the mesh stays tight it’ll just turn the debris to dust :yum:

This is what I’m hoping for :crossed_fingers:

You have the rear stooge truck on backwards? Because of the angled deck?

It’s no different than the v5s as long as the geometry is the same

Just because I said tight doesn’t mean you guys clench :joy:

You can take it easy tonight

Yes, the angles of arms to the ground is the steer amount. It works well

Whats your top speed?

Currently, at 12s my different gearing options are:

  • 67/22 (43mph)
    3.5 ratio
  • 67/16 (31mph)
    4.19 ratio

For off-roading with the aggressive hills, I’m at 67/16 (31mph)
4.19 ratio. It’s generally plenty for the short straightaway turny trails around me… On the open street, leaves me wanting more

Pretty good possibility I eventually make this 18s like my other builds

Very interesting. Thanks for the reply, i was wondering about 18s the gearing seems more appropriate for that. I ran open gear 15/72 for street with 8ers mod 1.5 and it was pretty sufficient for offroad. Keeping the mesh tight was hard as others have mentioned.

So you haven’t broken it yet?!?

I wonder if I could get around single track MTB trails better with these vs matrix III…
