Or have they been forced past their maximum articulation and flogged out?
I don’t have many miles on them but I’m not the lightest rider (about 225 geared up).
Stop saying snug
I’ll show you snug

Oh shit, I just came across your build thread. I didn’t realize you had a death toll. Our builds will have some similarities for sure.
Triple links, deathtoll, og davega, diy battery with 3d parts hahah. I still got a little bit to finish up though.
I am currently on my liquid sword with 15s5p, but just not enough range for me even though it’s mostly perfect other than that. so I’m building a 14s8p P45b pack for the death toll and swapping everything over. At 6’2" the longer deck will be nice for a wider more stable stance too
Awesome, I really like the Deathtoll deck. Great size. 14s8p with P45B’s should give plenty of range and power as well. I really like those cells in my board.
No clearance issues with 200*50 on triple links and deathtoll? Do you have any risers?
No clearance issues and no risers either.
Haven’t checked this thread in awhile, what’s the good go to linkage rods people have been using now? The stock ones from a few months ago, I’d say it is a bit on the short side, thread wise.
I have these prints pretty well dialed in. I tried my hand at casting them for a fictional prototype, but no success.
Right now I am getting a quote to have them machined from stainless steel from PCBway.
If you have a cnc capabilities, or know of a better way to get a small batch done let me know. I may still tweak a couple things, but im 95% there on the design.
Also… Does anyone have.m6 bolts that have a narrower head than the typical socket head?
Measurements of the two types I have on hand below in MM
This seems overly complex to machine, a lot of weird angles that would either take extra fixturing on a 3 axis or would necessitate a 4 or 5 axis machine
maybe try some shoulder washers? there were also some other gizmos suggested if you scroll through the thread but they were very expensive iirc
Gimme a few weeks to get my lathe fixed and i can probably make them lol.
Make bolt head less diameter:
Stick the bolt in your drill, and mill the heads down with an angle grinder while the drills spinning.
Maybe I’m rough, but it works.
Seems like overkill, why not aluminum? You could even make something similar at home with a drill press and a chunk of aluminum. Instead of creating a pocket for a nut just leave the material and tap it for threads.
Yeah I can do that and I probably will. I Was hoping to find something easily purchasable for everyone.
Certainly could do that and probably will do something like that.
The initial quote from pcbway was very reasonable. As low as $18 per pair (group buy qty). ($40 for 1 pair) for stainless steel.
After engineering review the real price was an order of magnitude higher. So not feasible.
I’m going to re-work the design to make it more cnc friendly to see if I can get a reasonable price.
But yes, it could be a block of aluminum with 2 holes drilled and a tapped hole.
I wanted to avoid taping aluminum if possible. But it seems like that’s the direction I’m headed in. I can at least design it to have a steel threaded insert.
You are correct. Initial estimate wasn’t bad, but pcbway has an engineer review and the frice went up 10x.
