New Lacroix Model -> Nazare

That’s the older model. I’d try haggle the price depends on the condition of the battery, enclosure, trucks, motors, etc. But don’t expect the price to drop that much since it prob cost like +3k new and seller is already doing 1100.

I asked the seller to check the battery health and they said they couldn’t get it to work with overkill solar. What do you think would be a fair reasonable price to haggle to? Do you think it is even worth trying to get it? I could also contact lacroix directly to see about a deck, enclosure, trucks, and motor mounts

The seller said they have never had issues with the battery and they have the carrying bag, charger, and remote do the board.

I don’t know how you’d check the battery with Lacroix boards since I’ve never own one. I’m sounding kinda like a bad guy here but you can try dropping the price if the seller can’t provide you info about the condition of the battery. Knowing the condition of the battery is extremely important and you’re taking a risk not knowing how the battery gonna behave.

I appreciate it. I’ll think on it some more and potentially see how much more they’ll drop the price. I’ve heard nothing but good things about lacroix decks specifically and wanna own a piece of the history that will still perform well.

I can’t tell you what price would be good since I’m not the one participating in this transaction. But I can say that the Lacroix platform is very good for DIY/upgrading down the line. If it were me I’d focus on getting the deck and enclosure, maybe battery if they can figured out what’s the condition of it. Lacroix Hypertruck is decent, but I’d steer you toward @Titoxd1000 Duality, better in almost everyway (I’m just shilling). Plus it’ll be easier for you to run whatever drive system since he uses a generic truck mounting pattern. Lacroix trucks has a very unique shape that barely anyone has aything made for them, so you’ll be stuck with very limited options. I’m not too excited with the stock motor on the old Lacroix models, heard they heat up pretty quick even on low power.

I may get duality trucks in the future, but as of now they’re out of my budget. I’m not against belt drive and have been running belts for years with no issue so as long as the motor mounts work I’m happy. I also have a set of reachers I would more than likely use to replace the current motors and a DV6 pro to replace whatever ESC is in there. I’ve got pulleys for the reachers too that would work well. The biggest concern is the battery because the other stuff I could replace (ESC, motors, and I’m not picky about trucks, I’m running TKP baseplates with evolve hangers on one board)

Another key thing to look for is what enclosure that has. If it’s the 4 segment one, great! super easy to upgrade down the road or swap to 18s. If it’s the 8? segment one, it’s a lot harder and more custom.

I bought a 12s nazare years ago and have at this point changed over basically everything for higher voltage components

The stock BMS from lacroix (at least on mine) works just fine with overkill solar. The signal can sometimes be a bit finicky though, but keeping your phone behind the board worked the best for me

20s4p in my 7 section Nazare enclosure fits nicely. Bit tight on space for the ESC and BMS in the last section but it’s doable. Nazare is such a nice deck… I love it.
