Need help understanding how to wire up loopkey correctly

Hey, I’m trying to use a loopkey setup for my eboard but I’m not sure if I have the correct stuff

From the battery there is a female XT90S that originally connected to that fuse you see in picture but I want to introduce a loopkey to use as a power switch. The series connector I got off amazon it has a female XT90S and 2 male XT90. Is that connector in question appropriate for this use case? The loopkey itself is a female XT90S connector and would have to go into one of the males

Besides the polarity being backwards on one of the connectors your diagram looks right

Thank you!

Assuming top and bottom are batteries, you have a parallel connection there.

it looks like polarity is correct no?
I think it’s ust the colors being flipped on the battery side of the loop key connector.
but maybe that’s what you meant?

do people normally loop key the negative or the positive?
does it matter? ( I think no? but bms usually disconnects negative so maybe?)

I don’t know what’s normal, but I do this:

Never thought to use a series connector instead of making my own loopkey connection, but yes that works.. The colors being incorrect is making me twitchy though.

If you switch which xt90 goes to the battery and the loop key it fixes the color issue. You’ll just have to flip the series connector over or switch the loopkey to the other side.
