Need a little help.

I have a defaint board, should never have bought. but here I am. Motor took a crap on me now just want to replace everthing. It has 280mm hanger width Maytech 6396 190KV 4500 watt max vented, and VESC, what I would like to do is find a bundle of motor and trucks and just go plug and play, Anyone have any ideas of what I should buy?

Im selling a set of dualities if ur interested, you’ll absolutely love them. King on the streets, DIYers love them and can vouch. Very build-friendly

I’m also selling boardnamics motord: 6354 190kv, 3 of them. Not as long as u had but very plug and playable as well

Dualities would be a solid upgrade but why not just replace the bad motor only?

Because defaint sucks and I juist want to replace the whole thing.

Could a bn gear drive with bn270 adapter fit these trucks?

Absolutely

Bolt on and go, no gaps, no machining? For flat board? How much?

Does the BN270 use the same hangar profile as Duality’s? I am pretty sure he would need at least a new adapter.

M1-AT Drive | Boardnamics

I have a few sets of BN hangers, but they use a shape that is not symmetrical, it tapers on one end.

Duality hangers use a 22mm x 22mm profile, so I’m pretty sure you would need collars for the BN drives at minimum.

Maybe you could try to make a solid deal for the trucks plus motor mounts and switch over to belt drive for a bit. I promise, you’ll understand immediately why everyone keeps suggesting it once you try it.

Or you can reach out to @Titoxd1000 for one of these “Apex Air Adapters”

Doesn’t a bearing sit on the adapter itself. If anybody has the file for the adapters, I could probably make them

It looks like the bn270 has a bastard size. It is not 22mm, so theoretically a spacer could be made to increase the dims to 22mm. I read that the dims on bn270 are same as caliber 2. I would love to adapt the bn gear drive to the duality trucks.

18.27mm x 17.95 So the one side is cut down.

Actually, the existing adapter could be machined to the 22mm. Done deal. Not sure about the clocking.

If the existing adapter was indicated along one existing side straight, then indicate to center of adapter, then simply cut to 22mm and it would be plug and play.

What is hangar length of your dualities?

210mm front, 240mm rear

Oh yeah unfortunately with M1-AT you’d need 300mm wide Duality because 6384 motors or larger, otherwise hit the pivot arm.
