I love the Flux.
These tires are plush and smooth.
And I feel so comfortable on the Dualitys.
I actually took my GPS today and I was cruising at 30 a whole bunch.
Just sitting there at 30 feeling like it’s 20…
Tito’s magic.
I started off on the V1 which has been super fun.
I made it super loose. And it’s super low.
I’m digging the Caguamas on here.
But I am pondering putting back the ABec 111s because The super free roll feeling
I’ve experienced a weird snowball effect from using the Singularitys from @RipTideSports because they give you so much lean and turning, that I have had to adjust all my other sets ups to be loose.
But loose is the vibe.
After this when I got home I changed bushings on both boards to be way looser…
I just hope I don’t catch some wobbles going a little bit faster one of these days with these loose ass trucks…
But it had to be done.
Loose is the vibe!!!
In the mean time the boys are cruising around and Luca is killing it on the Dinghy…
I’m happy to report Luca didn’t skip a beat and we were back riding the next day!!!
Sunday was the Earth Day celebration downtown and we rode down as a family(plus 1 extra kid)
I rode the GT because onewheels are ideal for being around a bunch of people.
Luca rode his bike there to cover the distance.
But brought the Lectec in the trailer to ride around.
Naia rode the Fiido, and her friend rode the Deathscooter.
And my wife had Max on the Portola and the trailer with stuff!!!
Going back to earlier this past weekend, I changed the Grip tape on the ION Drive V1.
I thought it was really gorgeous how it came…
But I wanted some padded grip tape on here!!!
I love the Ignite padded grip tape from 1wheelparts… It’s awesome.
The Hummie Deck is quite stiff, so I wanted some dampening, which the 4mm cushion does well.
The deck is also a smidge narrow. So my back toe hangs out…
I tend to do this on most boards…
The edge felt sharp.
And the padded grip tape take that pressure point off
And the grip on this stuff when it’s new is supreme…
The only difficult part with this pad a grip tape is cutting the sides.
To get them smooth I take the side of the board and then sanded them with the Dremel
I was wanting to put Tito’s mounts on my Matrix III.
I had used the Radium matrix III mounts on the Dualitys.
And being basic, I assumed it would also go the other way and I could put Tito’s mounts on The Matrix III.
Not so much.
I even hacked at them for a half an hour before deciding to buy some mounts…
The Radium mounts are amazing.
But out of stock…
I looked at the Mboards mounts and they look really good.
But They have no side to side movement.
I think that would probably be a problem.
On the trail we ran into a little snake we tried to move out of the way. And it looks like it was an actual venomous one. Angry little bastard did not want to be saved.
I didn’t take many pictures of the process apparently…
But here we go.
The Box Turtle is back.
Now with Newbee 4GS and Flipsky 6384 190kV.
I am sticking with 175mm tires even though I kinda wanted smaller tires on here…
I needed The larger diameter for speed. And also I like the cushion.
After changing the settings I didn’t experience anymore sluggishness.
I did take it a little bit easier.
And I kept looking at temps and didn’t seem to go over 80…
On the way home through campus I kept seeing all these groups of college kids walking around.
I finally realized they’re all heading to this area of town where there’s going to be big street parties tonight!!!
School just ended Friday night time for the kids to get crunk!!!
No tinkering. And just a little bit of riding today…
I rode the EUC and Onewheel in front of the house in the morning for a warm up.
Took videos of the various Irises popping up in neighbors yards…
Late in the evening the kids were stirring… So we decided to ride over to the playground for a bit.
Luca wanted to ride his Onewheel there but also take a skateboard and scooter, so packed the trailer with a few things. And brought the two thane longboards.
