mayoBoard | 1st build | mountainboard Scrub | single 245kV | LiPo 6S | Flipsky | 500$

Hi esk8 :grin::call_me_hand:

My project has finished 2 days ago. I was so exicited and dont have time to write to you about results.

When it started I was total newbie. A lot of study yours old forum and internet let me to:

About specification

:arrow_right: Motor- Turnigy SK3 245kV
:arrow_right: Battery- 3x ZIPPY Compact 6S 3000mah :arrow_right: Controller- FSESC Flipsky 4.12 50A
:arrow_right: Mountainboard- Scrub furnace
:arrow_right: Pulleys-12/60, belt HDT-5M
:arrow_right: Motor mount- Turnigy motor mount
:arrow_right: Switch- Flipsky antispark switch

My problem is ‘Tooth in mesh’. With this pulleys and short motor mount. My score is 4, correct is 6. Pulleys 16/72 and longer motor mount Will do the trick.

Problem with Vesc firmware was solved by Flipsky support sent me VESC tool support my fw

Im suprised, because everybody said ‘6S is too weak for mountainboard’. On flat ground where is no asphalt desk have no problem. Riding on pavement, flat forrest road or gentle hills situation is the same. That was my priority

Its my first build. Little by little to check if it’s for me. And I can say - ITS FOR ME :love_you_gesture:

Build cost - 500$
Max speed - 30km/h
Range - 12km

I already thinking about upgrades. Battery and more range is second thing after pulleys and motor mount.

I will note about upgrades and change, greetings from Poland and thanks for help

Cool, man! You’ve already figured out that the only important opinion is your own.

Welcome!

I used a 245Kv SK8 motor and a 4.12 vesc from Vanda electronics.

It actually worked very well on 12S BLDC with two 6S 4Ah 30C lipos in series.

Well until the high current draw killed one of the cells in the cheap lipos.

And then I did a test ride with the remaining 6S lipo and that is a bad combination for 4.12 VESCs with high kv motors on 6S so it shutdown then blew a trace on power on.

Im glad for work this motor with 6s battery. Acceleration is not bad, v-max too.

Im intresting how long will live my Lipo :see_no_evil:

Cool looking build. I want more pictures of the deck.

I’ve got a 6s board too. Its slow but light.

Hey @Mayo - how is the board treating you in the 6s configurations? I live in relatively flat ground near the coast and am contemplating a build like this. Previously did a 6s road board with a 295kv motor and it ran great!
