Little-Light-Longboard aka The Poorsec

It doesn’t help… there goes 50 bucks I didn’t plan on blowing today…

And these are white…

And 83 is huuuuge.

Hope the pulleys don’t need longer axles length than boardnamics.

I have an extra set of BN ABEC pulleys I believe if you need them

Ok. Back on the bench this morning.

Got it plugged in and ran detection.

Looking good.

I moved on to taping it on to try and ride it.

Super legit

I did apparently move the Mount up enough to not hit the little step on my driveway.

Lol sooorry, friend.

These wheels fit the tiny axles on my MakerX TKPs, so I’d bet you’re safe. It’s funny that you say 83mm is huge — I’m scraping my motors so bad with the new wheels. Looks like you needed bigger for those clamps anyway!

Soooooo…

I just got back from riding around some more.

And I came to terms with needing bigger wheels…

These mounts are going to kill me…

They scrape just on imperfections on my road.

So you were ahead of the times…

Off course I should have saved 50 bucks and used some blue caguamas I have on the shelf… but you tricked me with the “only $32”

But yeah. I love new wheels.

What goes around comes around.

My very first esk8 ride on the Metro board was on Abecs.

My first own Metroboard had Abecs

And my Evolve Bamboo GT came with 83s…

So here we go.

Abec 83s…

I have really been enjoying the 111s… so I hope these bring similar joy. (Fingers crossed Mboards doesn’t fuck up my order)

Do you have any friends or local places that can weld? What about just getting your mounts where you want them and having them welded to your hanger, and then you can grind away all the excess BS that keeps getting hit. Obviously you are committing those mounts to those trucks forever, but you have enough to mess with

You know. That very thought came to mind.

I wonder if I can get just the axle clamp welded securely so I can still unbolt the mounts.

I suppose push came to shove and they were fixed I could cut a spot on the back of the mounts for the motor to slide out.

But I am going to bigger wheels.

And here is the funny part. It will get me more motor clearance… so I may go back to the one piece BN axle clamps I had on here to start with…

Welding the mounts to the hanger can cause it to crack and break later (cycle fatigue) with how the heat affects it. I don’t know if there is a way to fix that, but I bet there is.

Are your Metroboard trucks with welded hangers still in action?

If so how many years now?

You really don’t want to put bigger wheels on, huh. XD

If you end up fitting them, let me know what you think!

Oh.

I’m slapping them on.

Do you think the bolted front plate is needed for the pulleys?

I am also going to try and put a bearing in the pulley…

No, they cracked and broke at the welds, but an upgraded version I made never broke.
