Lil Commuter the Pocket Rocket

Moving my Original build thread over here:

Now that I’ve put a 12s on it, it gets a real name… Ze Pocket Rocket (its built on a Zenit Rocket)

Quick details:

Zenit V1 Rocket Deck
SurfRodz TPK’s
Boardnamics idler mounts
Hyperdrive 90mm’s
14/36 pulleys
Maytech R2V2 for now, I’ll prob go back to a nano for this build
Tq Boards 6355 190kv dual motors
just added 12s3p Miami Electric 30Q battery
Old beat up 12s4p Tq Boards battery enclosure I modded a lil
Unity

New pics of 12s3p install. I kinda miss the old see through case.

Need to take make the wires fit better inside the enclosure. I had a couple power cuts on the way into work this morning and I think it was from one of my phase wires getting pulled out of place, need to open it up and check. Also I need to fix the motors up too, I got them second hand and one of them doesn’t have functional sensor wires. Either that or I need to mess with the eRPM limit to get it to be a lil smoother on non-sensored settings. I also have some 107’s with 44tooth pulleys on them, might wana try those out once I get the motors smoothed out.

Looks great. Not sure I’d want bigger than 100mm wheels on there myself.
Love the narrow tkp setup. Same thing I’m trying to do. I’ll probably go 97mm at the largest. Shooting for 78mm tho.

I am highly interested in seeing how this would feel with some Mach1’s I’d need to run larger risers then though, so I don’t bottom out.

Your setup would be wider too with Mach1s if you want to run dual like that.

I gotta post a build thread soon, was at Joes last night rebuilding my battery cause it was ugly. Should be done by this weekend so we can go for a ride.

If I’m around I’m down :call_me_hand:t2:

Unity bit the dust again on me:

Gotta figure out a replacement.

Anybody know what that fuse/relay thing does? Because it still functions as a vesc the only thing is now as soon as it’s plugged in it’s on. So I’m theory I could just put a loop key on it for now?

Edit - Talked to my homie @E_motion_boards apparently it is an anit-spark switch gunna try a loop key till I can get a replacement.

Nice, glad it’s not toast.

Forget the anti-spark. Loop key FTW

I’m still gunna try and get a replacement from Enertion, but yeah to get it rolling I’ll try a loop key. Not to decide where I place it on the enclosure.

IDK, seems like antisparks seem to.be the weak link in many builds I’ve seen posted. I really wish someone would make a good one, but so far they all seem to pop after a couple months. I think it’s the mosfets. Hopefully emertion dors right by you and gets you what you meed👍
Anyway, you could try and mount the loop key into that window you made to cover the TB battery display. That way when you change back you can clean it up with a new window. I hate hate hate making holes in enclosures, lol. Gotta get the wires out somehow, tho…

Keep us posted🍺

Yeah that’s what I was thinking too but then my loop key would be pointing straight down and with the 90mm’s I don’t have much clearance to begin with. There is a hole towards the top of the enclosure I covered up with vinyl. So I might just throw it up there. I’ll post up what I do here for sure.
