Finally got my hands on a skp deck and battery . I have part of the drivetrain as well. Not sure about the kv tho. Really excited to do this build, other projects have been stagnating a bit. Very grateful to everyone for helping me secure the parts. Not really much to say right now probably going to try and fix the grip tape and paint the board/ enclosure need to fix some epoxy in spots. My coworker has a paint booth so I’m going to try and get it ready this weekend. I need an esc just realized a storm won’t be compatible with this voltage. But I’d rather do the build correctly in any case so I guess I need to make a list and get my shit together
Wasn’t able to do what I wanted to this weekend so I started test fitting the drivetrain, wheels and did some touch up on the enclosure with black primer and lightsanding don’t stare too hard at it. I will have to probably redo the gasket, and find these adapters for the wheels. The 3d printed portion of adapter looked a bit stressed/ deformed. The abs enclosure I will continue to work on until I can get the first solo, then work on the second. I think I need a riser on the rear to add lean clearance for the reachers ?
working on the adapters today because i couldn’t source the file… maybe tomorrow i can sand more and paint/test fit stuff. not sure on shrinkage factor or ever used a 3d printed wheel adapter but i guess we will see.
Skp esc has been ordered. no word on shipping yet hoping for next week. not sure on which paint for the deck. i was thinking of just taping off the stripe and logo stripes but not sure if i should do the outside then inside or vice versa. bad news for the awd the Gd is not avilable. so sticking for 2wd until situation changes. it would probably be a good time inspect the gears also so ya will do that. think i found some hotas? what type of paint should i use?
heading to the paint booth today. kinda expect painting on grip may not pan out well. i like red but these blue wheels really just so nice so blue it is.. Also i got notification the Skp dual esc is on the way.
