Help with bring my old board back to life

Hey everyone, hope all is good :+1:

Hopefully this is in the right place. I just need some help with figuring out wiring and fingers crossed make this board work again.

Little backstory -
I have Eovan Carbon GTS Pro that just suddenly stopped working about 2 years ago. A day after trip to Wales group rides in May, after being fully charged, the board would just turn off when under load. Couldn’t figure it out so just left it. Recently I took it apart and saw the ESC was in bad condition (couldn’t see that unless it was taken off as the damage is on the underside). Anyway battery still shows about 49V and for 12S I believe that’s alright and seeing the state of the ESC, I think problem is not in the battery.

Anyway, been looking at different ESCs that could fit in the board. I ended up getting Dual Ubox Aluminum Lite controller 100V 100Ax2 and their Uni1 V2 remote. So far, so good, but what I noticed is the hall sensors on the motors have only 5 wires and the ESC has 6 pins. How do I go with that?

Might be silly this question but I just want to learn and do it myself. I hope it’s just one of the end pins I don’t need as these tiny connectors seem hard to solder  I have only soldered 4mm bullets before and that turned out alright.

I will try to figure out the Bluetooth connection and remote receiver today after work. After all cables and connections are sorted correctly, I will look into actually fitting it in the deck and do the VESC settings last.

Thanks in advance and ride safe :zap: :skateboard:

5 pin hall cables are just missing a temperature sensor.

They still have 5v, GND, H1, H2 and H3

You can use a razor blade to lift the plastic tabs to re-pin the connector.

Alternatively you could order premade tails and solder them, or get a crimping kit and learn a few new swear words.
