Help needed for my new build

Hello there,

I’m about to start my new build which consists in Carvon DDs (koowheel hubs), 2 Focbox singles and a 12S2P P42a

Before I begin I have several questions:

Is the Focbox single sensors pinout the same as any VESC, meaning, can I plug my Carvon sensors directly into the Focbox?

What settings should I enter in the VESC Tool (It’s going to be a commuter board to go to work, so no speed/power needed)

yes

if the plug itself and pin order are the same, yes. (what was it again? 5v, gnd and temp in a specific order, the rest doesn’t matter i believe)

i can only speak about my setup

10s2p p42A and meepo hubs.

I pull max battery 40A (total) and Motor 110A (total).

Your Hubs will most definitely not handle amps as well as mine. I’d start with 15-30A per Motor.

Edit: 30 might be too much already. Revel DD didn’t like 27A per motor at all. So 15-25 maybe? Test around how fast the temps are rising.

Sounds like classic squeaky bearing noise.

Doesn’t sound like firmware at all to me.

Try just barely loosening the axle nut the smallest amount, does the squeak go away? You might have a bearing in a bind. Of course make sure the axle nut is a nylon-locking nut.

I’ll try tomorrow, I took everything apart to prepare the deck
I just found out the wheels have no spacers
Those DDs have 10mm axle, time to find some spacers
Do you guys know where to find spacers for 10mm axle in EU.?

I got 10mm spacers with my order from @moon, but I don’t see it listed on their site
