Like @ducktaperules I’m also interested in the all up weight of the enclosure, plus battery pack and electronics. Basically the whole unit as mounted to the middle of the deck.
Lastly, is that a 5V or 12V output poking out the front?

I just received confirmation on getting a deck in the next batch. Are your enclosures going to be sold only through you, or will Phil also be a distributor to bundle it with the deck? Either way, I want an enclosure, and will pay @Haeroboards more if they can have the inserts already installed.
There’s talk of inserts and Phil taking some enclosures. Either way you should be good.

I am testing it for 2 weeks now, and its pretty solid… plenty of space too!
Just put a gasket between the deck and the enclosure, dust can be a big problem as i saw.

For anyone who wants to know how I inserted the threaded inserts without drilling completely through the deck.
I used a metal drill because I did not want to drill completely through the deck. This is (because of the tip) hardly possible with a wood drill, although this would be the better choice for the material.
it is a good idea to use a countersink to remove the remains of the upper layer, so that the thread insert fits well into the hole. otherwise it can jam. This is what you want to avoid with the epoxy on it.
As you can see on the package the outer diameter is 6,3mm. I used a 6mm drill here, so the insert fits well and the epoxy fixes the whole thing.
I used brass for the thread insert. These are actually intended for 3D prints, but stainless steel was not available at short notice.
I glued them in with some epoxy and let them harden for about 8 hours.
This worked very well.
in order not to damage the inserts during insertion, a long screw (at least halfway through, so that the thread is not damaged) should be screwed into the insert and possibly lightly hammered in.
One last Thing: Please do not use hexagonal screws anymore. The screw heads break very quickly and Torx is used everywhere in the industry for good reason! You can screw them in and out very often without damaging the head.
