Yup, and recommended. On top of an rear X thing is a very popular install.
Thanks for the dimensions, @poastoast
Ahh the robo has returned to its natural status. Vaporware.
People be thirsty. 🤷
The last time we posted inventory they sold out almost immediately.
DRI is closed through the new year but we’re working on getting more inventory available in the near future. Everything is built locally and not something we’re willing to compromise on, so production is limited ATM.
ebike telemetry? traitors.
Is there an estimated eta or update y’all have on new inventory? Looking at the Robo and GPS specifically.
We’re working on our nextgen Robogotchi at the moment as the original version is impacted by components shortages. Trying to have some new beta units available by the end of this year.
I’ve got a lengthier announcement about sk8net coming soon, but in the meantime:
Have about 17/25 left on batch 2.
freesk8_mobile v0.22 should be going live in the next week or so, VESC FW6.X support will be live in 0.22.1
Cheers
Does that price include the GPS module??
Yep, that’s for the gotchiPro devkit + GPS module + 2x gps cables to give folks some mounting options. These are a limited batch devkit intended to give feedback as nextgen dev progresses, firmware is still WIP but currently on-par with the OG robogotchi functionality with BLE sync.
These ship with encryption certs/keys that allow them to receive OTA updates over WiFi, and also authenticate on the upcoming sk8net - which will then upload logs directly over WiFi.
I’ll make a new thread soon that explains where development is at now, and where we expect to be over the next 3-6 months. Currently trying to get sk8net beta up before CarvePDX, fingers crossed.

5x5 snake game when
Not enough people even found the easter egg minigame on the OG robogotchi.
Don’t tempt me though ![]()
Wow, can’t beat that value. Order placed.
Now, do I even bother getting that GPS from you, or do I just order a 2nd one of these? ![]()

The GPS module is close to half the total devkit price at retail, they unfortunately have increased like 30% in cost over the last 6 months. GPS is now considered a requirement on the gotchiPro as they provide a clock and time/date source for the logging. gotchiPro will still work without it, but you won’t get accurate time on your logs, it just uses time-of-upload.
But that’s why these all come with GPS by default.
I do have some extra GPS modules- will get the site updated soon.
I will say, the devkits are being intentionally priced cheap here to incentivize early adopters with the understanding the firmware and features are still WIP. We’ll have a non-devkit, more finalized version of the gotchiPro that will probably be about $10 more for a complete kit.
Purchased! This will fill the ilogger hole for me I hope
FreeSK8 Mobile 0.23.0 should be rolling out to the closed beta tester list over the next 12 hours, iOS TestFlight should be updated in the next 12-24
Release notes
The gotchiPro Nano will be available in the near future, more details soon.
