Because eskate uses regenerative breaking - the esc is a safety critical part, and i would suggest upgrading to a more reliable esc. I have used a lot of cheap esc and i had them all die randomly and never really pushed them to their ratings. Makerx has been serving me well and ive had good luck with the skp solos though i feel they are a bit outdated and big now compared to when i got them.
We are not nice to escs in eskate, there is something to be said for the buy once cry once when it comes to the controller. This is just from my personal experience but i was going through cheap escs about once a year - been happily using the same skp solo in my bogroosh build for 3500 miles. All my flipsky and hobbywing are dead and replaced
Thank you for response, you have made same good points, I will upgrade esc on my next repair, I use my land board more during winter as watersports in the uk are too cold to enjoy, regards robin
