Confession: I didn’t even know about the Unread tab until right now.

Says 1348 notifications

Yep. And anything over ~30 replies scares me and I put it off until the end.

Whaaaat? I have my profile set to auto follow threads only if I comment them or read for a certain amount of time so I usually wake up with 10-15 threads updated that I follow.

I ain’t got time to read all the other shit.

I know that’s going to be the drama bomb so I save it for last

@glyphiks how much amps do you feed them ?

Just whatever the stock x1 controller feeds them :man_shrugging:

I had a rather bad stack on the weekend and unfortunately I have absolutely zero memory of it.

When I tested the board the next day, only one of the hubs was spinning… i moved the other hub by hand and then it ran seemingly fine.

This build is on the ixnay until i get another set of hubs methinks.

You fell and have no memory of it? Go to the doc.

I have no memory of several hours before the fall… i know exactly why I have no memory and fortunately for me, it had nothing to do with the fall. But thanks for your concern

(Last reported sighting of me on the day of the incident)

Also glad you’re good.

Cheers. Im just annoyed that i don’t know if it was a skill or hardware issue. And now I don’t trust the board :expressionless:

Id like to confess… sort of… i have a ‘formerly known as’ evolve carbon… affectionately known as Devolved… at the outset, i have to point out that only the deck is original, its been stripped of all other original components and was rebuilt (electrics) by a builder in queensland, that was 4000km ago and ive beaten the living shit out of this deck, i keep coming back to it and wanting to do a deck swap but this thing is just so easy to waterproof. I did a straight up river crossing last week and while it may well have contributed to the final straw for the motors, the internals have been solid and no water ingress has been noticed, Its my commute board and does about 13km one way to work and i ride it hell or high water (cough). It runs 13.78" dkp in the rear and stock 12" front, i widened the teucks a little while ago so i could load it with some 6384’s when i was ready for them on it and todays the day, largely due to the 74’s making a sound like wind whistling at a window at a certain rpm and just being rough in general… have to admit that they withstood a significant amount of abuse. I plan on pulling them apart just for the experience and seeing if i can get into it to see whats in there…

I know i shouldnt but i really like the thing, i still get a huge amount of enjoyment out of it and the little shitbox punches well above its weight. It can (and does) hit ~55km/h with confidence (only a small amount of shitting myself)

Pulled the trucks apart for a clean and inspection and replaced and have now started on replacing the motors, with luck, i wont set fire to it in detection …

I swore I’d never put flipsky on a board again and yes i know the BN’s are also flupsky produced, but i won’t hold that against BN

FS motors are solid.

Ummm, except for the shitty can rattle i got on their 63100’s the banchee scream on the 84’s

I have to admit the 74’s were pretty solid

Never again, flipsky can get well and truly fucked

Never had can rattle with them, but can confirm, the banshee scream is quite unique, albeit harmless. So far mostly good experiences with their motors. The ESCs are a different story though.

you’re saying I should reconsider buying a 75100 Alu PCB Dual?

As far as I know the alu pcb ones have been shown to be pretty decent

I had someone tell me the same thing about the 6.6 mini a few years ago and since then I’ve fried 2 of them and accidentally torn the pads off another one.

Does anyone else look for a pick up any “trash” that may be useful when riding? By trash I mean anything on the side of the road so often times you find stuff that wouldn’t normally count as trash.

Or am I just a trash goblin?

So far I’ve found: a nice set of flat and small pliers, a 10mm socket head apparently that is where they all disappear to, a drill bit adapter I don’t know the name of, a flexible mirror panel, a roll of new in package painters tape i left that one since it was slightly dirty on the adhesive edges , two lightly damaged circuit boards, etc…

I only take stuff with me if it is potentially useful. I also will grab and move anything that could cause damage off the road or bike lane. I just leave it in the grass nearby though because it wasn’t my trash to start with and I’m not going to carry heavy shit around just to toss it out.

Not really, but damn that’s funny because I also found a 10mm socket once and picked it up.

That IS where they disappear to

Somewhere, someone is mad, “Damnit! Where is the fucking ten millimeter! FUCK!”

If you dropped it, PM me so we can arrange its return
