Delrin rims experience?

First ride today. Was quite smooth up to about 30 mph so I’m happy. The 7" Hoyt tires seem perfect for my area / road conditions. I ended up milling some spacers and speed washers out of Delrin as I couldn’t find anything with the correct dimensions. Worked out well, the spacers house the oil embedded bronze sleeves with an exterior dimension that matches the inner ring on the bearings. So I was able to tighten everything pretty tight and a fairly smooth free turn of the wheels. The 16 mm nylon lock nuts seem like they will never budge - they take a lot of effort to remove with a socket set. Still would love to have a lathe to do this, but the results are pretty good for me. Now I have to remember how to ride, it’s been a while!
