Did anyone ever install cloudwheels on the SYL-08? I was in touch with the guys from cloudwheels and they said they don’t make pulleys for the SYL-08 trucks and that they wouldn’t fit. But I saw someone else do it so it - had anyone done this and where did you source the parts for it?
Urethane wheels and channel trucks don’t go well in general.
If you want smaller wheels all i can recommend is trampa hypa/superstars/mbs rockstar 2’s with 6 inch wheels inflated to 60psi. Or if you’re brave, gummies. Just keep in mind it will go from “mountainboard” to “street and a few light trails” board
I know that KAMi JUINs was installing ABEC style wheels on channel trucks (timestamped video below). But I don’t know if those pulleys would fit Cloudwheel cores since they are different from ABEC a bit.
Where caliber trucks would have minimal material under the axles axis.
Then there’s the fact that channels have generally 12mm axles and for urethane wheels 8mm ones are easy to find, 10mm is a pain in the ass and 12mm, well, good luck finding one. If you do, it’ll be £15/bearing and you need 8 of them
The only trucks i know of that do smaller axles is the trampa titanium ones (which is what they filmed on really), but those are quite expensive to start scraping them on everything due to clearance issues.
Your answer is caliber trucks with 10-15° baseplates. They work quite well with urethane
