I think you’re getting less time going from 2xAA.
But you’re looking into 600mAh, as there will be two lipos in parallel.

Running time for 2 AA is alot longer them 2 300mah lipo. I am running 2x 300mah lipo now and it will drain the battery if I leave it on over night (9 hours). But I left my regular mini remote on for 24 hours b4 and it keeps on working .

Must be that vreg… For my mods, I stole this idea from @SkaterBoy58 on the other site. Put a diode inline and it’ll drop the voltage about 0.7v, which is perfect.
Other people have used the lipo/lithium-ion output directly, at least somewhat long term, with no ill effect.

Btw, once the switch is before the reg, there’s no reason for draining to occur

Draining in 9 hours though, seems like consumption is much greater than normal?
Although 2xAA (~5wh) vs 2x300mah (~2ah) the math kind of works for 24h vs 9h…
