Can i get a Little advice on shipping a battery?

I need to ship a 12s5p 30q to florida from San Diego. What is the best way to do this and what do i say? I went to the ups store and they pretty much told me to fuck off lol

I always send batteries UPS ground. Just tell them to slap the extra sticker on it.

So when they ask wh, do i give them the max what hours or the 20% that is actually charged in the battery. She woukdnt even put an extra sticker on it, just said get the fuck out

That’s weird. I’ve never been asked watt hours or anything like that. Just if my package contains lion batteries.

Shouldn’t really matter if its 10 or 100 if a single cell gets to the point of meltdown it’s catastrophic. Low quality Chinese batteries really give all batteries a bad rap.

Oh i know about catastrophic meltdowns. Im just hoping to find a solution besides being dishonest. Gonna try asking usps tomorrow

Yeah how much trouble would you get in for lying about Wh? Slap on the wrist and a fine? Jail time?

The guilty conscience of putting someone with a family and kids in danger just because you wanna ship a battery :thinking:

You should only need to declare its lion and slap this sticker on it. Also needs to be ground only shipping. Not sure why they’re giving you such a hassle. I’ve sent batteries with UPS for years.
